they don’t need me to contact them every week/month. (Most of my friends I see and speak to very rarely, due to being on the other side of the world. I love how we can all just get in a room though and still be like we’ve never been apart)

I’m not very good at keeping in contact with people, I rarely phone my parents so to call or talk to people who aren’t family takes a monumental effort on my part. I just don’t see the need to keep up with the trivialities of life, I’d rather just know the highlights :) (such as weddings, children etc)

I do make an effort every so often to make sure I’m up to date on most people’s lives, and facebook has made that process a lot easier I must admit.

I also have a good bunch of work colleagues, but nothing quite beats having known someone for 10 years or more.
