so instead I’m going to write an open letter to myself.

So, lets take a moment to take stock…

This is you as you were 5 years ago

5 years ago… not really that long… since then you have

Met a girl who turned into your wife.

Moved as far away as it was possible, to set up a new life on a new continent.

Got married,

Bought a house,

Had a daughter.

Helped grow a startup into a great company.

Made a bunch of new friends

Those are not minor achievements, those are Milestones with a capital M.

Looking back you wouldn’t have pictured yourself here would you.. you had vague dreams of studying for a business degree from an American university (something that I’m pretty sure won’t be on the cards anymore), but that was about it, you were in an enjoyable job (a job, looking back, that would have not existed much longer anyway).

So sometimes it’s good to reflect and work out how far you’ve come.
